Each year, the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship awards five full scholarships to individuals who wish to enter the one year full-time Oxford MBA programme. To qualify, you need a proven track record in social entrepreneurship and a clear vision for the impact the MBA can make to society. The Scholarship covers fees and a stipend for living costs. The application fee can be waived for candidates from developing economies. Applications are considered on a first come first served basis. The deadline for the first round of admissions is the 23 March, 2007.

Submissions will be accepted from July 1st until September 15th 2006. Early submission is highly recommended as this may allow initial feedback to be given to help you improve your application. The ten finalists will be announced in November 2006. The second class of Seed Award winners will be announced at a ceremony during the 15th Session of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development in New York, May 2007.

At the May 10th Awards Ceremony, among family, friends and supporters from the campus and community, $105,000 in awards money was presented to the winning teams of the SEIC. The competition is designed to foster growth for social entrepreneurs who craft innovative processes, approaches, and solutions to help resolve social issues. Over $100,000 is available to winners under a variety of categories. The Skandalaris Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and the YouthBridge Association partnered to create the SEIC, which was launched in September, 2005.

Every year millions of individuals die of diseases that could be prevented by basic, low-cost measures. How can we address this global challenge and improve health for all? Ashoka\'s Changemakers initiative is launching a global search for innovative strategies that provide high-quality, cost-effective, and scalable health solutions reaching low-income and marginalized populations around the world. These health solutions may focus on healthcare delivery, health financing, health education and disease prevention, pharmaceuticals, or other key issues.

Who should apply? The Sector Skills Academy is designed for organizational leaders with direct responsibility and authority to implement a sector strategy. Attendance at three, three-day Academy workshops is required and some activities will be assigned between sessions. Sector participants, to be known as Fellows, will be selected based on demonstration of leadership competencies, a commitment to social and economic justice, and ability to design and implement a sectoral employment initiative.
